These terms apply when you use Kineo, including the Kineo app and this website. By creating an account or using Kineo, you agree to them. If you use Kineo for a firm or other organization, you agree to these terms on its behalf and confirm that you're allowed to.
"We," "us," and "our" mean Kineo. "You" means you and, where it applies, the organization you use Kineo for.
Your account
- You need to be at least 18 to create an account.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity in your account, including what the people you invite do.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Acceptable use
When you use Kineo, you agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights
- upload malware, or try to get into accounts, systems, or data you aren't allowed to access
- interfere with or overload the service, or test its security without our written permission
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it
- use the service to build a competing product
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Your content
Your content is the files, drawings, project details, messages, and other information you and your team put into Kineo. You own it. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to provide Kineo to you, including through the service providers described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having the right to upload the content you add.
Assistant and AI features
Kineo includes assistants that use AI models to draft, summarize, and suggest. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review it before you rely on it or send it to anyone, especially anything with professional, financial, or legal consequences. You're responsible for how you use it.
Your professional responsibility
Kineo is software for running projects, billing, and reviews. It doesn't provide engineering, architectural, legal, or accounting advice, and it doesn't replace your professional judgment or your obligations to your clients.
Services you connect
If you connect another service to Kineo, such as QuickBooks Online or an AI assistant, that service's own terms apply to your use of it, and we aren't responsible for it.
Trials, plans, and payment
- New accounts may start with a free trial. Its length is shown when you sign up.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, at the price shown when you subscribe. Taxes may be added.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
- We may change our prices. We'll tell you before a change applies to your plan, and it takes effect at your next renewal.
Ending your account
You can cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or isn't paid for, and we'll try to tell you first when we reasonably can. After an account closes, we may delete its content, so export anything you want to keep before you cancel.
Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features. We work to keep Kineo available, but we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Disclaimer
Kineo is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Kineo is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Kineo after that, you accept the updated terms.
