This policy explains what information Kineo collects when you use the Kineo app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, firm name, and the details you add to your account. For paid plans, we also keep billing details such as your billing address; payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor.
Your content. The projects, documents, drawings, proposals, invoices, time entries, messages, and email that you and your team add to Kineo. We use it to provide the service to you.
Usage and device information. Like most web services, we log information such as IP addresses, browser and device types, the features you use, and errors. We use it to keep Kineo running and secure, and to improve it.
Information from services you connect. If you sign in with Google or connect a service such as QuickBooks Online, we receive the information needed for that connection, such as your name and email address or the records being synced.
Information from this website. This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to understand how visitors use it. If you arrive from a link with campaign tags, your browser keeps those tags for 30 days so we can tell which campaigns lead to sign-ups.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and support Kineo, including the features you ask for
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send account, security, and service messages, and to reply to you
- To send product news and marketing email, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
- To understand how Kineo is used, so we can improve it
- To keep Kineo secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations
Assistant and AI features
When you use an assistant, the content it needs for your request, such as the project, document, or email it's working with, is sent to the AI model provider that powers the feature, which processes it to return a response.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run Kineo, such as hosting and file storage, payment processing, email delivery, AI model providers, and error monitoring. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
- With services you connect, when you choose to connect them.
- Within your organization, with the people in your workspace, according to your workspace's settings and permissions.
- For legal reasons, when we believe the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Kineo.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide Kineo. After an account closes, we delete or anonymize its information within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep it to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee the security of your information.
Your choices
- You can update your account information in the app.
- You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
- You can unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any message.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. We'll respond to requests as the law requires.
Children
Kineo is for businesses and isn't meant for children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Where information is processed
We're based in the United States. Your information may be processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and we'll let you know by email or in the app about significant changes.
